HEADWAY SCHOOL for GIFTEDNESS


HEADWAY SCHOOL for GIFTEDNESS (HSG) accepts pupils according to their chronological age and/or grade level officially attested to by the school previously attended. HSG also accommodates pupils who exhibit any of the following characteristics:

  • Inquisitiveness
  • Keen observation
  • Sense of self-awareness and sensitivity
  • Capacity to achieve at higher than average levels
  • Good memory
  • Early and extensive language development
  • Perseverance
  • Preference for older companions / adults
  • Ability to work with numbers
  • Good at jigsaw puzzles
  • Extensive vocabulary
  • Advance reading skills
  • Good reasoning ability

PROCEDURE

The following steps may be initiated by parents and guardians:

  1. Accomplish the registration form at the HSG administrative office or by filling out the registration form online by following this link.
  2. Interview and school visit. HSG will conduct a free initial assessment to survey the child’s ability and skills. This is also an opportunity for the child to get to know the school surroundings.
  3. Assessment (optional). A complete psychological assessment helps identify the child’s strengths and weaknesses and addresses the child’s needs and is also used for placement purposes.
  4. Invoicing. The HSG administrative office will send to the parents an invoice detailing all the fees together with HSG’s bank account details.
  5. Payment. Payment of the relevant fees can be done at the HSG administrative office, over-the-counter at the bank or through online bank transfer. If payment is done over-the-counter or through online transfer, a photo of the deposit slip or a screenshot of the online transfer should be sent to [email protected] as proof of the completion of payment.
  6. Coordination with HSG for the child’s entry to the school. Upon admission, HSG and the family coordinate in order to submit the required documents and to orient the child and the parents with the school’s policies and programs.

REQUIREMENTS

Below are the documentary requirements in order to be accepted into HSG:

  • Accomplished registration and other HSG forms
  • Developmental / Psychological / Educational Assessments (optional)
  • Report Card (original and photocopy for transferring pupils)
  • Progress Report / Developmental Checklist (from previous school attended)
  • Birth Certificate (original and photocopy)
  • Baptismal Certificate (if any)
  • 2 pieces 1 x 1 I.D. picture
  • ACR / Study Permit (for Foreign Students)
